Redwood Empire Food Bank Pop-Up!

On Tuesday, December 20th, the team handed out food and gift cards!! Many families were blessed with food and a little something extra for Christmas. Gifts cards from Target and Grocery Outlet were handed given to the families as they received their food. Special thank you to Eleanor Albon for making this idea come to life!

Scenes from December 18th
Coffee Hour
The Sunday service was less attended than usual given the number of people, including many from the choir, who have been taken ill with Covid or other illnesses of the season. We wish them all a speedy recovery.

Yet good will was evident for those who attended, and were touched by the beautifully decorated church thanks to the handiwork of the Flower and Alter Ministries and the memorable Homily given by Fr. Ed on angels...do we believe?

After the service parishioners were treated to a bountiful Christmas Coffee Hour hosted by Candace Macnair and Stephanie Chapralis McCaffrey. This was the last Coffee Hour until January 8th.

Parishioners' hearts were gladdened to see Naomi and Phillip Holm join us once again for services. Phillip chose to celebrate his birthday, on that very day, with St. Pat's and was wished birthday greetings by many.

Wishing all a Blessed Christmas!

BBC-Schools Christmas Book Success!
We received a couple of photos from Dunbar School! The children above were excited to receive their gifts from Patrick's Church and all those who donated to this special cause.
Thank you all who contributed to the Christmas book project for the children at Dunbar School. Members of BBC-Schools Elizabeth Romayko, Anne Phillips, Pat Coleman, Eleanor Albon, Betsy Randolf and Laurie Boone Hogen wrapped books for the children  and wrote notes of appreciation to each staff person . Anne Phillips baked delicious sugar cookies and put them in attractive boxes that also went to each staff member. The children will receive their books this Friday! Thank you all who helped make this Christmas project such a success!

Cookie Magic Success!
The Gift the gift of Christmas Cookie Magic
for our Home Bound!

Helping to bring joy to those who are
not able to join us at church.

The Christmas Cookie Boxes were once again assembled in Stevenson Hall after a two year hiatus and delivered to those in our parish who are unable to attend church services due to health or other concerns.

We are indebted to all those who baked and/or delivered cookies this year!  Our sincere thanks goes to Eleanor Albon, Cecelia Bautista, Jan Chapralis, Leslie Clark, Canon Mary, Laurie Boone-Hogan, Judith Kesot, Ron Keith, Karen King+, Margaret Merchat, Betsy Randolph, Elisabeth Romayko, and Wendy Wood. If we have forgotten others who contributed cookies, please let us know so we can include you in our thanks.

Thanks and appreciation is also extended to the Christmas Cookie Ministry including Stephanie Chapralis McCaffrey, Margaret Merchat, Leslie Clark, Eleanor Albon, Ron Keith, and Elisabeth Romayko..

For this is the message that you heard from the
beginning...that we should LOVE one another.

Art Class with Kate Rogers

Join Kate Rogers at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church in Kenwood on Mondays, January 9, 16 and 23 from 10:30 to noon. Free with a $5.00 donation to cover materials

All are welcome to join us to make some art! This three-class series will allow us to explore our creative expression, using materials and medium chosen for you to focus on the process.  No skill is needed!  All that’s required is a willingness to explore, have fun, and let art happen!

Kate Rogers will be your facilitator for this program.  She is an Art Therapist and an artist.  She uses the printing press at the Sonoma Valley Community Center to begin her process of making collages.  She is also trying ceramics for the first time!  Kate has seen the process of art making create growth and positive change in her clients  and relies on it for her own self-care.  She lives in Sonoma with her husband and golden doodle.

The Rev. Bruce Bramlette Presents:
A Historical Exploration of the First Two Centuries after
Jesus and Before Christianity
The Adult Education Ministry of St Patrick's Church is happy to present The Rev. Bruce Bramlette once again!

Join religious studies scholar and interfaith facilitator, The Rev. Bruce Bramlett, in this fascinating 5-week course titled The Jesus Movement in the first two centuries before the Church.

This five week class will explore historically the setting, character, and circumstances of the development of the earliest Jesus movement from its origins in Judea to its growth amid the vast diversity and pluralism of the Roman Empire in the first two centuries. We will follow a new ten-year, study from the Westar Institute of this history, After Jesus Before Christianity, to guide our conversations. We will look closely at the nature of Roman society, religion, and political environment to enrich our understandings of those earliest Jesus communities. The course should greatly expand and challenge many of our long-held assumptions about this important era and provide insights into how the Jesus movement came to become the “Christian Church” in the third and fourth centuries. The course will be a “hybrid” model with in-person sessions and Zoom opportunities.

This course will be held on Tuesdays from 11:00 -1:00 of the following dates: January 24, 31, February 7, 14, 21 in Stevenson Hall at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church, 9000 Sonoma Highway in Kenwood, California. The class is free but a $5.00 donation helps off-set expenses. Please R.S.V.P. to Bobbiejo at parishadm9000@gmail.com or call 707- 833-4228, ext. 1. Rev. Bramlett’s biography is available upon request.
