Dear GLC members and friends,

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve, and we have a place for you. See you in worship on-site at 5:00 and 8:00pm and livestreamed/online at 5:00pm. Both services include candlelight and holy communion; the 5:00pm includes special music from our choir and Dorothy Mora, flutist. Come early to the 5pm service to hear beautiful prelude music that will begin about 20 minutes before the hour.

It's the first time we're back in-person for Christmas Eve since 2019, and my soul is hungry for this. I invite you - find comfort here and share in the Christmas joy: in the carols, scriptures, candlelight, and engaging worship. In-person and online, God gathers us together and brings peace.

Christmas DAY is a Sunday, so we're having one service at 10:00 - come for a cozy and inspiring lessons and carols (and communion) service!

Join us online! Find worship bulletins and the Zoom link to join Christmas Eve for 5:00pm worship, and Christmas Day at 10am:

Year-End Offerings

You, our members and visitors have been generous in 2022, and we are tremendously grateful.
We hope you'll continue to support GLC and our efforts together.  Consider a year-end gift, or how you’d like to set up      your offerings for next year. The easiest way is by giving online at georgetownlutheran.com/donate using our secure giving platform, Vanco (or scan the QR code in a worship bulletin). Alternatively, if you want to send a check and your gift to be counted in 2022, please make sure that it is postmarked by 31 December 2022. If you're delivering it in person or via a private carrier like FedEx or UPS, it must arrive at the church by the 31st. Credit card and electronic gifts must be processed and cleared by 31 December, which can take a few days. Thank you!

Gifts that give - Christmas Opportunities

It's not too late to send a gift that makes a difference! Check out the display and pick up catalogs at church for ELCA Good Gifts and (DC Synod/local) Gifts of Hope!  For the person who has everything, or sharing in a special way this season.

Candle project - Jan. 8

On Epiphany Sunday, January 8, join in after worship for a potluck brunch and a long-awaited project! For years, we've been saving the ends of altar and paschal candles, with the idea of melting down and making new candles. So on this holiday about light and something new, we're doing it! Between now and then, we welcome you to bring empty, clean small glass containers that would make great candle holders - think - old glass yogurt containers, holders from spent candles, etc. Participants will get to go home with a candle you made and also help make ones to light our church for special days in the year ahead!
