Greetings from the Social Committee!

Thank you to all the volunteers that helped make our events a success in 2022, especially the social committee members (Kelly, Shannon, Summer, Pearl, Mara, Marilyn, and Mike).  Thank you to Evelyn for helping me with the clubhouse holiday decorating as well!  We hope that you had a wonderful holiday season and are looking forward to the New Year!  We will be having our first meeting of the year on Monday, January 9th at the clubhouse at 7 pm to discuss ALL events we want to plan for 2023, so if you have an idea for an event and would be willing to host it, please come to the meeting to discuss your idea, your desired timeframe, and if you will need a budget for the event.

The events that are a DEFINITE at this point for next year are:

  • Easter Egg Hunt (a week or so before Easter)
  • Family Fun day (proposed for July 8th)
  • Halloween Parade (Sunday afternoon on October 29th)
  • Breakfast with Santa (Saturday morning, December 2nd)
  • Holiday Lights Contest

TENTATIVE events are:

  • Wine Tasting
  • Game night (bunco or other)
  • Neighborhood Garden Tour
FAMILY FUN DAY 2023: We need our biggest set of volunteers for Family Fun Day, as this is our main event for everyone.  If you would like to be part of the planning, please contact me at social@serranopark.org.  We could DEFINITELY use your help the day of the event as well!  Please email me at social@serranopark.org with contact information so that we can send out an email and get volunteers signed up for the day.

We are looking forward to another nice year of events for our community.  Also, remember to continue to put out decorated/painted rocks on our Path of Thankfulness, as we have so many things that are a blessing to us here!  Add to the beauty of our neighborhood!

Thank you and see you all in the New Year!
