HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM AAT!

From all of us at America's Automotive Trust, we want to wish you a happy New Year! We have a lot in store for 2023 happening all across the country and throughout our entities. With new exhibits, new events, activities, scholarship opportunities, and more on the horizon, we invite you to join us for the ride as we continue to celebrate the passion for car culture over the next 12 months.

NEW EXHIBIT COMING SOON TO ACM

Reclaimed Rust: The James Hetfield Collection has been an incredible exhibit that has been on display at LeMay – America's Car Museum in Tacoma, WA over the past 12 months. If you haven't had a chance to see these one-of-a-kind, custom-built hot rods yet, you still have a few weeks left until the exhibit ends later this month on January 22. With Reclaimed Rust leaving ACM later this month, we are working hard behind the scenes preparing a brand-new very special exhibit that will be replacing the James Hetfield Collection. Stay tuned and keep an eye on ACM's website and social media channels as we get ready to officially unveil the new exhibit very soon!

SPEED ZONE AT ACM

RPM DESIGN WITHOUT LIMITS COMPETITION PRESENT BY PROMETHEUS

The RPM Foundation has partnered with Prometheus Fuels, an energy company that makes carbon-neutral gasoline. Together they've launched the “Design Without Limits” competition that will take place at a high-end car show, the Motorcar Cavalcade. The RPM “Design Without Limits” Competition Presented by Prometheus poses this challenge to the next generation of conceptual innovators: Imagine an internal combustion engine car crafted exclusively for the purpose of the driving experience, focusing on styling and performance, with no restrictions on fuel efficiency or aerodynamics. Designers can imagine vehicles unbound by the need to limit miles per gallon.

Students from the Design and Architecture Senior High School (DASH) used their vision, imagination, and creativity to invent their dream cars. The submissions have been narrowed down to four finalists who will attend the Motorcar Cavalcade, an exclusive collector vehicle event in Miami, on January 15, 2023. Finalists will present their designs to judges, who will evaluate them and award the Grand Prize. Attendees will also vote on their favorite design, which will be awarded the People’s Choice Award.

Grand Prize – $1,500 scholarship
People’s Choice Award – $1,500 scholarship
Runners-up – $250 scholarships

"TIME IN A BOTTLE" A CENTURY OF AUTOMOBILES IN ORIGINAL CONDITION

America On Wheels Museum's exhibit Time in a Bottle: A century of Automobiles in Original Condition, is currently on display through March 2023. The exhibit contains vehicles that have been lovingly preserved from original to current owners, looking as though they just rolled off the showroom floor. Some of the highlights from the exhibit include George Lesher’s unrestored 1953 Ford Customline with 3,323 documented miles, plus other incredible vehicles like the 1905 Pierce Stanhope, 1933 Essex-Terraplane, 1958 Ford Ranchero, 1984 Subaru GL Wagon, and 1990 Ford Mustang to name a few. There is a vehicle representing each and every decade from the 20th Century in this exhibit, spanning 100 years, each vehicle surviving the test of time.
