CHRISTMAS BREAK
The faculty and staff at St. Paul’s wish you a Merry Christmas. We appreciate all that you are doing for our school and for us. We are thankful that you chose St. Paul’s Lutheran School for your children. We rejoice in the opportunity to share the message of the birth of our Savior. We love to see the joy it brings to each student. We look forward to the new year with our school theme in mind, “Hope and Joy, Peace and Power.” Christ the Savior is born!

CHRISTMAS PRACTICES AT CHURCH
During the last week of school before Christmas break, December 21-23, we will be having practices at the churches. Wednesday (12/21) and Thursday (12/22) morning, please bring your child to either St. John’s or St. Paul’s by 8:00am. The children will practice from 8:00-10:00am. School buses will drop students off there as well. School buses will bring the students back after the practice.
Friday (12/23) morning, there will be no school buses running from the public school. Parents are asked to drop off the children at church. After practice ends at 10:00am, children should be picked up to go home. We will not be taking the students back to school. Our school day ends at 10:00am on Friday.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
St. Paul’s needs your help in several areas. These volunteer positions are extremely important and an opportunity to be part of something special. Contact the school if you are interested in any of these essential opportunities.
Raider Events Committee Chairperson - St. Paul’s Lutheran School is looking for a WELS or ELS person interested in becoming the chair of our Raider Events Committee. This position is critical for planning and organizing fellowship events for St. Paul’s families and staff.
Moving School Risers—Help is needed on Monday, December 19 to move the risers that are used for the children's Christmas Eve Service. The risers are stored at 126 S. Payne St., and we need to move them to the church. Meet at 3:30 pm at the school on Monday, December 19. Contact the school or church if you can help or if you have any questions.
Yearbook—The yearbook is done online through our photographer, Strawbridge. The online software is simple to use and the pictures will be taken for you. We just need someone with an eye to put the yearbook together.
Labels Program—St. Paul’s collects labels and receipts. The volunteer for this program will cut, count, and prepare a mailing. The result is extra money for the school. The extra money is used directly for the benefit of the students, 100%.
Remove Old Bleachers—We will be getting NEW bleachers over Christmas break. We need your help on December 26-27 starting at 7 am. Door holders, board carrying, removing nuts and bolts, etc. All ages! Call Mark Wiehert at (608)712-8218 for info.
We are in need of helpers to make crafts, decorate cookies, serve snacks, and a few actors for our Christmas for Families event on Dec. 17. If you are available to help at this event, please contact Mr. Kuschel, kkuschel@splnewulm.org.
Christmas Bags will be assembled on Monday, December 19th at 6:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Please join us as we assemble the treat bags that are given to children at the Christmas worship services.

CHRISTMAS WEEK FUN
The Raider Events Committee is excited to help plan a little Christmas fun at school next week. Besides the dress-up days (see the flyer), there will be a photo booth Monday morning, and Thursday afternoon the day will end with a game of schoolwide BINGO! It was a hit last year, so it is now back by popular demand. If you don't know what that all entails, make sure you ask a student that was here last year and played - it was a blast!

CHRISTMAS CAROLING
Do you enjoy Christmas caroling with others--both young and not-so-young? On Sunday, December 18, St. Paul's will be caroling in several New Ulm group homes. The event begins at 1:15 PM in the St. Paul's Church fireside room and continues with sharing the Christmas gospel with our community. Some of the highlights will be caroling at both memory care units at both Ridgeway locations and passing out ornaments to residents. You are welcome to sing at any or all of the group homes. Song sheets and free shirts will be provided. Depending on your schedule, you can join or leave the group anytime. Complimentary snacks will be provided at several stops along the way. CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS FUNDRAISER
We have St. Paul’s Lutheran School Christmas Ornaments for sale at the school during Advent. The ornament is a traditionally shaped sphere that is blue in color. Stop by and take a look if you are interested.
Each ornament will be sold for $5. The money all goes toward the Capital Campaign for the school.

BAND CONCERT
All are invited to the St. Paul School Band Concert on Thursday, December 15, at 7:00 pm in the gymnasium. The Raider Band and the Junior Band will perform along with some smaller ensembles. CHRISTMAS FOR FAMILIES EVENT
Christmas for Families is scheduled for Saturday, December 17th at St. Paul's Church. Families of all shapes and sizes are invited to hear from the Shepherds and others in Bethlehem about the great news of Jesus' birth! Come anytime between 9:00-11:00 am and hear about the first Christmas, decorate cookies, play games, do a craft, and participate in other activities. Hope to see you and your family there!

WINTER CARNIVAL
Come to John and Paul Ministries' Winter Carnival: Summer Edition for warm fun indoors during cold January! This event on January 21 from 1-3 pm at St Paul's School features indoor bounce houses, LIVE performances of summer songs, frozen hot chocolate, a “Summer Break” Escape Room, games, and gift cards awarded throughout the whole event! Can’t wait to see you there and bring a friend!
