Dear friend,

I typically send only one content-filled newsletter each month, but I'm seeing you show up to appointments feeling frazzled, tired, and swept up in the hustle and bustle of the season, and I want to gift you my favorite tips for staying grounded and connected.

1) Get your feet on the earth:

no shoes, even when it's cold out! Just a minute on the ground can change your perspective and awaken your senses. It's a great way to get embodied when you are feeling disconnected.

2) Heel drops:

This somatic movement also has the effect of bringing you back to your senses. When we get caught up in "doing" we forget to tune-in (to taste, smell, sound, sight and touch). Try using this practice to feel your connection to the earth and vibration in your body. Tune into your other senses while you are here. It is refreshing!

3) PLAY!

Don't forget to stop doing tasks and take a time-out to enjoy this season! The days may be short; that is all the better reason to seize the opportunity to have fun. Kids on school break will give you lots of chances to pause. Connection with fun, family and friends is the cure-all for stress.
