Season’s greetings

We wish everyone a safe and enjoyable summer season and would like to take this chance to extend our sincerest thanks to everyone who contributes to improving the health of the Curdies River.

Thank you to everyone who lives, works or recreates in the Curdies catchment and plays their part in caring for the river in their daily activities.

Thanks to all our incredible Estuary Watch and Waterwatch volunteers who commit countless hours monitoring and reporting on the health of the river.

Thanks to everyone who joined us at the Curdies River Community Forum in October to learn more about the health of the Curdies River and discuss options for its management.

Thanks to all the members of the Curdies River Consultative Committee for approaching the committee with a genuine sense of collaboration, knowledge sharing and curiosity in what more we can do to help improve the health of the river.

Curdies River nutrient enrichment study update

Deakin University are in the final stages of completing their report for the Curdies River nutrient enrichment study, which will be made available via this e-newsletter and the CCMA website at the end of January 2023.

There has been a small delay in finalising the report to give time for peer review and due to leave arrangements of key staff.

Once the report is released, agencies will then provide a response to the report’s recommendations.

Some key findings were provided in the last e-newsletter, which can be accessed again here
