We entered 2022 with the hope and expectation that peace would also return in Kyrgyzstan after corona. Unfortunately it turned out differently. The Russian invasion of Ukraine in February turned everything upside down again without knowing where it will end. In that uncertainty we close 2022.
The Center for the Protection of Children in Bishkek mainly had to deal with sharp price increases for food, clothing and energy. The available budget was under pressure. Choices had to be made, always putting the best interests of the children [and their families] first.
CPC called on us and we called on you to lend a helping hand where possible. You regularly responded heartwarmingly to the call.
