Lisa Breslow's distinctive linear brushstrokes depicting the built world create a wonderful contrast with the light-filled, organic quality of the natural one. Building up layers of paint, and developing rich, subtle color and tonal contrasts, she creates a space of atmosphere and light that best communicates what she wants to convey. She simplifies and abstracts the compositions focusing on color, light and tonal relationships.
