Let it Snow!!

The rain-deer are ready….

Season’s Greetings and Happy Holidays to you all from S/V BOB.

We are hoping Santa brings you some holiday cheer and finds you and your loved ones safe and well.

It’s a sad holiday season for us after losing our kind and gentle step-mom, Marna, over Thanksgiving. She was a big supporter of our sailing dream and loved her trips aboard with us over the years. We really miss her.

Our love goes out to Monique’s Dad and our gratitude to his network of friends and our family who have all leaned in to support him.

The year began with us sailing up through the whole of the Inside Passage from Bellingham, Washington, and we ran almost nonstop the rest of the summer. Had Covid-19 aboard three times, but luckily folks were all vaccinated and we still had great trips.

We were asked to submit photos to Mainsheet Magazine again this year and we made the cover for our 7th time! Super proud of BOB and this lovely shot from Glacier Bay. They seem to like photos with snow in them for their winter edition…

…and come to think of it, we like snow, too.

Our 1% for the Tongass donation at the end of this year was split between two organizations helping to ensure a good future for whales in SE Alaska. We love the work of the University of Alaska Southeast Whale Lab and Happywhale.com. It is exciting to be able to support such worthwhile research.
