ADDITIONAL SERIES ADDED TO HRSA JANUARY PROGRAM
HRSA is pleased to announce three new series, which will be conducted during the month of January 2023.
In no particular order, the first initiative is for 4YO & older pacing mares that will have the opportunity to compete in a heats into final concept running on January 7, 12 & 21. Below are further details:
4YO & OLDER PACING MARES
*To be eligible Mares must have competed in South Australia in 2022 OR be under the care of a SA trainer by January 1, 2023.
*Local Ratings Concessions apply. *Driver concessions allowed for the barrier draw *No Mares Concessions.
*All races 1800m MS PBD/NR
*Heats of $3,000 (Ratings exempt) to be conducted on January 7 & 12.
*Final of $8,500 to be conducted on January 21.
*Field selection for the Final will be determined based on the horse’s best finishing position in a heat.
(Should there be 2 or more horses with the same best finishing position, a random ballot will decide which horse is declared the qualifier).
*The Local Rating of a horse at acceptance time when first accepting for a heat in this series will be used for the purposes of barrier draw for all remaining heats and the final.
The second series, to be held over the same dates will be for Trotters up to NR 57. Conditions are listed below

*All races 2230m SS RBD
*Handicaps as follows: *Trotters rated up to 45 - FT, 46 to 49 – 10 metres, 50 to 53 – 20 metres, 54 to 57 – 30 metres.
*Heats of $3,000 (ratings exempt) to be conducted on January 7 & 12.
*Final of $8,500 to be conducted on January 21.

In addition to the two series above, on Saturday January 28 HRSA will be conducting a ‘Battle Of The Best’ Drivers Invitation Challenge.
Five SA female Drivers and five SA male drivers will be invited to compete in this series, with drivers earning points for their respective teams.
A total of Six Drivers Invitation races have been programmed for prizemoney of $7,000 with all Drivers Invitation Races will be Ratings Exempt races. There are also non-invitation races programmed for this meeting.
The full program for this meeting is available online on the HRA website. Drivers will be announced in early January and will be formulated from the 2022 SA Drivers’ Premiership.

TRIAL DATES
Please be advised the trial dates for the next few weeks due to Christmas, New Years and Sunday race meetings.
- Sunday December 18th – Trials will be held at Gawler
- Sunday December 25th – No trials scheduled (Due to Christmas). Instead, trials to be scheduled at the race meeting Saturday December 24th for horses needing to be assessed or resuming from a spell only.
- Sunday January 1st – No trials scheduled (Due to New Year’s). Instead, trials to be scheduled at the race meeting Friday December 30th for horses needing to be assessed or resuming from a spell only.
- Sunday January 8th – Gawler (as normal) The normal Gawler / Globe Derby Park rotation will continue from this date.
Trainers are reminded to check closing time for trials to avoid missing out.

GLOBE DERBY PARK - SUNDAY 18TH DECEMBER 2022
Race 1: JOHN ROTHE VIDEO PACE
DELIGHTFUL GNP (10) won two races in a row back in October. Her run first up from a break last week was good. If she can get a nice run through from the second row she will be a major chance.
ROCKNROLL YANKEE (2), PREMONITION (7) and CAVALRYMAN (1) are also chances.
Race 2: TAB LONG MAY WE PLAY PACE
ATREACHEROUS (7) is first up from a spell from a tough draw but her form last preparation was very good. She must be respected against this field.
SECRET OPERATION (2) returned to his best form last start. He will be dangerous again tonight.
CLARENDEN ENVOY (5) and DANCING FINN (8) are also chances.
Race 3: CLAY & MINERALS PACE
WHOEE JOHNSON (1) should be able to find the lead from gate one. Once he leads he will be very hard to run down.
BARNEY FELLA (8) should get a great run through from the second row.
KAHINA (5) and OUR MAJOR JACK (11) are also chances.
Race 4:HYGAIN FIBER FRESH TROTTERS HANDICAP
OUR SPITFIRE (3) is a nice stand start horse. If she trots away off the front mark then she will be pretty hard to beat.
LOVELORN (7), SUPER ANGUS (10) and UNCLE LOUIS (5) are also chances.
Race 5: BIANCO REINFORCING PACE
KEILAH (8) raced three wide last start and that didn’t suit her. If she can get a better trail into the race tonight she will be a big threat.
SORRENTO (6) has been racing well and looks like a threat against this field.
CHILDERS ROAD (5) and GRINFORAWIN (1) are also chances.
Race 6: HAPPY 30TH BIRTHDAY MARK STRINGER MARES PACE
AMMICCHI (4) meets a weaker field compared to recent starts. If she brings her best run she will be very hard to beat.
WHISTLE ON BY (6) will need some luck from the draw but she is racing in excellent form.
JOEY GIRL (5) and ACES DAUGHTER (7) are also chances.
Race 7:BARGAIN STEEL CENTRE 3YO PACE
BIG BLACK BETTY (5) steps down in class here after racing in the Southern Cross series. She has been racing well without winning so far this preparation. She gets a big chance tonight.
MAJOR JOLT (6), HESTON BLUE STREAK (2) and FEISTY JANE (1) are also chances.

Race 1: AB AIR SERVICES 2YO TROTTERS MOBILE
CENTILLIONAIRE (2) was a last start winner by 22.5 metres. She is a smooth trotter who rarely puts a foot wrong. She will be hard to beat again tonight.
GLAMOURISE (4), NURUNDERI (1) and HASTALAVISTA LADY (5) are also chances.
Race 2:THE GLOBE BAR & GAMING PACE
TAKE MY WALLET (6) was a winner two starts ago when she defeated NICELY SPOKEN by 18.9 metres. If she repeats that run she will be too good for this field.
IDEAL MELODY (2), SEA FLYER (4) and ILLAWONG PHILLIPA (1) are also chances.
Race 3: NORTH EAST GROUP PACE
REIGN SHADOW (4) put in an eye catching performance behind SHEZA MANIPULATOR last week. If he can improve off that run he will be dangerous.
SHEZA MANIPULATOR (2) won her first start in Australia last week when she defeated REIGN SHADOW by 6.4 metres. She is a massive chance.
DAMYSUS (5) and MARIAHS SHADOW (1) are also chances.
Race 4: TAB VENUE MODE TROTTERS HANDICAP
THEBESTOFFICAL (7) has been knocking on the door for a win recently. If he trots smoothly he will be a threat.
WISHING ZONE (1) trialled well on Sunday Morning. She will be dangerous if she trots.
GRAYWOODS DIAMOND (3) and BALMORAL HALL (6) are also chances.
Race 5: HYGAIN RELEASE TROTTERS HANDICAP
ATOUT (1) is a nice horse when she trots smoothly. If she begins well today she will be hard to beat.
ORLANDOS GIFT (6) steps down in class compared to recent runs. He will be dangerous against this field.
FULL OF FIZZ (3) and SHEZAGEM (2) are also chances.
Race 6: VISS WATER PACE
MOSAIC ART (7) was impressive at the trials recently. She has a major chance against this field.
WHITESTARCHRISTIAN (6), MARTYS PARTY (3) and MANONTHEMOON (1) are also chances.
Race 7: K & S ELECTRICAL 2YO PACE
WAITPINGA HERITAGE (8) drops down in class today. He should run a strong race off the second row. He has a lot of ability.
RUPERT ROSS (7) will run a better race against this field despite the tricky draw.
HONOLULU LULU (5) and SUPERCHARGED (6) are also chances.
Race 8: ECO-WISE PLUMBING GROUP PACE
GOLDEN JAYLET (3) finds his easiest race in a while. He should be a major chance against this field today.
ALIMONIE (7), PERSIUS (10) and CAPTAIN THUNDERBOLT (1) are also chances.

HRSA has recently considered the position of drivers whose tyres are deflated in race incidents.
As from 22 November, where Stewards charge another Driver with carelessly contacting the wheel of a Driver, HRSA will now direct an amount of $50 of the fine to the credit of the other Driver (to assist with the cost of repairs).
The credit will appear in the Driver’s account and applied to the next stakes payment run.
