Online via Zoom (NL)
In the Implementation Week, AmsCIS organizes an online Yes We Can! - session! Implementation researchers and peers get a platform to share their implementation challenges in the field of research and/or practice. It offers the opportunity to support and inspire each other through creative, out-of-the-box ideas and solutions. During the session, two pre-selected challenges are analyzed with the implementation experts and peers present.
Do you have a challenge in the field of implementation research and/or practice that you would like to present to a broad implementation audience? You can! Please contact us at aph.amscis@amsterdamumc.nl.
If you want to participate in this session, you can register via this registration form.

IMPLEMENTATION JOURNAL CLUB - December 2nd was the kick off of our Implementation Journal Club. After an introduction to the article of Schroeder et al. (2022) in which the determinants of CFIR are combined with social processes described by NPT, 12 participants discussed the article in break-out rooms. Participants wondered if you can just combine two implementation frameworks or theories like that? How does it help to better understand implementation practice? Both in evaluation studies and in shaping implementation practice, the article was seen as helpful.

STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT EDUCATION SESSION - December 12th the second education session - this time about ‘engagement of stakeholders’ - was held. Effective and early engagement of stakeholders in your research is important to contribute to better implementation of your research results and/or interventions. Stakeholder engagement is essential to achieve impact and bridging the gap between research production and research use. Theory and practice were discussed in a two-hour online session. With help from the audience it became an interactive session, difficulties were discussed and practical solutions shared.

Matching implementation strategies to determinants
There is a need for knowledge of (context-sensitive and dynamic) methods for linking determinants to implementation strategies. An overview of available methods and their application possibilities in scientific literature, policy and implementation practice is lacking. This ZonMw project, led by Christiaan Vis (VU), consists of a literature review, supplemented and contrasted with practical experience.
