Happy New Year! A new year is a great time to reflect on the past and look forward to the new beginnings that are waiting to be discovered. As we enter this new year, our hopes for 2023 are boundless! Abrazos is excited for the continual shift back to 'normal', the new smiling faces of our staff, the growth of our ABA program, and the opportunity to continue to serve our community.
Sandia Foundation Grant has been an excellent community partner to Abrazos for years and we are honored to have their continued support. A $5,000 grant was awarded to Abrazos to upgrade our campus to ensure accessibility to children and families who visit us, regardless of their physical, cognitive, or behavioral needs.
Rotary's motto is Service Above Self, and the local Rio Rancho Rotary Club and Foundation is a wonderful example of this motto. The Rio Rancho Rotary Foundation has donated $2,000 to support Abrazos' autism therapy program. Yet again, this local service organization has provided support to ensure children with autism receive our unique and valuable service.

Keep your eyes out for the first episode of The Early Show with Alax about Safe Sleep, launching in January, 2023.
In this show — brought to you by ECECD — a fuzzy, loveable friend named Alax (from a g-Alax-y far far away) hosts a talk show to learn all about caring for little humans from New Mexico’s early childhood professionals.
Alax supports and learns alongside families without judgment, creating comedy and making it okay for caregivers not to know all the answers. Episode 1 of The Early Show with Alax will premiere on January 26th, followed by a new episode in February, March, and April.
Abrazos will be closed Monday, January 16, 2023 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
