A quick message from Mira...
The winter season often times brings forth a time of the year when nature is asking us to slow down and reflect on the year that we have had, to rest more, and to become more in tune with ourselves and the important transformations that have occurred for us over the last year... On the other side of this, we often meet what feels like the opposite effect in societal and materialistically motivated traditions that can make us feel like we need to do more instead of less and that can create extra stresses and anxieties that aren't normally present because we might feel a sense of obligation to stretch our boundaries and our pocketbooks.

Below are Self-guided Questions that are intended to help you get in touch with the true meaning and spirit of the season and provide a space for healthy self-reflection and introspection...

What has changed most for you and your life over the past year?

What are 3-5 things that you accomplished this year that were a part of that transformation?

What was the most enjoyable experience you had this year? What made it the most enjoyable experience for you? Was everything about it enjoyable or did you have personal transformations that allowed it to be?

What was the most difficult experience you had this year and why? Looking back do you feel better or worse for it? In what ways can you be intentionally grateful for it as a part of your life process?

How can you make time to slow down? What parts of your life can you allow yourself to rest in over the holiday season?

What are you most grateful for from the past year and why? What role did you play in creating the experience? What role did others in your life play in making that experience possible?

What was something that you achieved this year that you thought was unachievable? Looking back, what actions did you take to make it achievable? What was present as a sense of motivation in your life that allowed for you to achieve something that felt difficult or impossible at some point?

The Power of Vulnerability | Brené Brown
Brené Brown studies human connection -- our ability to empathize, belong, and love. In a poignant, funny talk at TEDxHouston, she shares a deep insight from her research, one that sent her on a personal quest to know herself as well as to understand humanity. A talk to share.
⚖️✨ How balanced does your life feel at the moment?

As we enter the time of year when many become focused on the concept of new year's resolution and setting goals and intentions for their life I want to remind everyone that it's important to establish a sense of balance for your Self first so that those goals and resolutions can feel achievable. it’s an important time to slow down and introspect about the parts of our life which might feel unbalanced and do a Self-check of the things that you can provide for yourself that will create better balance ( habits, rituals, and behaviors) as well as opening up to the vulnerability of asking for support in the spaces of our life that feel we need more support with to have balance ( emotional, physical, work, relationships, family etc.)
What are some of the spaces in your life that feel the most out of balance for you presently?

What feels like the cause(s) behind these imbalances?
i.e. Lack of communication or lack of boundaries, not enough rest etc.

What rituals or behaviors do you know have worked to create and sustain a sense of balance in these areas of your life previously? How can you make the conscious efforts to implement them?

What can you do to create a sense of balance toward things that aren’t in your control?
i.e. Kinder Self standards, more willingness to ask for help or time to rest
Using the Ikigai Model - Creating A Sense of Purpose For The New Year

Have you defined what your purpose in life and for being is? 🤔💭 You are here for a reason and it turns out that having and holding a sense of purpose plays an important role in your relationship with Self and in building and maintaining your health and wellness in a way that supports mind 🧠, body🧘 & spirit 🫂✨
The concept of Ikigai evolved from the basic health and wellness principles of traditional Japanese medicine and holds that physical wellbeing is affected by one’s mental-emotional health and sense of purpose in life. The word Ikigai is most literally translated as ‘reason for being.’ ‘Iki’ means ‘life,’ and ‘gai’ describes value or worth.
Do you feel like you need guidance on changing your internal narratives toward a more Self loving frame of mind? 🫂🧠💭✨? Visit http://www.moonandrune.com/guided-wellness-sessions.html to learn more about Guided Wellness Sessions with Mira.

MIRA'S LATEST ARTICLE: The Spirit of Success

ARTICLE EXCERPT: Without the sense of connection and rapport that is created by friendship in work environments, there isn’t any emotional connection which means that energies can’t flow. Just as with the rest of the world the energies of “e-motion” (a.k.a energy in motion) are the undercurrents of consciousness that make the world go round, including within the business world. If these types of connections can’t be established in a work environment because they have been actively defined as unprofessional, it is unlikely there will ever be a sustainably successful rapport created within the business.  CLICK HERE TO READ

BOOK OF THE MONTH

Synchronicity: Nature and Psyche in an Interconnected Universe
"In 1952 C. G. Jung published a paradoxical hypothesis on synchronicity that marked an attempt to expand the western world’s conception of the relationship between nature and the psyche. Jung’s hypothesis sought to break down the polarizing cause-effect assessment of the world and psyche, suggesting that everything is interconnected. Thus, synchronicity is both "a meaningful event" and "an acausal connecting principle."

How Luminiferous Aether Led to Relativity

As the 19th century came to a close, physicists were feeling pretty satisfied with the state of their science. The great edifice of physical theory seemed complete. A few minor experiments remained to verify everything. Little did those physicists know that one of those experiments would bring the entire structure crashing down paving the way for the physics revolution of the 20th century.
