Considering a year-end donation?

1. Give online with your credit card by December 31, 2022 11:59pm! Online donations made before midnight on December 31st will receive a tax receipt for this year, 2022. Using the Fund Drop-Down Menu, you can choose to direct your donation to Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre. We recommend using this option.
2. Mailing a cheque - this must be postmarked by Canada Post on or before December 31st. Donations postmarked after December 31st will be considered as a 2023 donation. We recommend delivering your mail directly to the post office and ensure the teller date-stamps the envelope. Mail that is dropped in an outdoor mail box might not be processed by Canada Post in time.

Nikkei Mochitsuki 日系もちつき

The NNMCC Auxiliary will be selling mochi again at this year's Mochitsuki. Always a hit, the lovingly handmade mochi by our volunteer team, the Auxiliary, is insanely popular with visitors. We'll only be selling it at Mochitsuki, so you won't get another opportunity after this.

Prices of handmade mochi:

• One plate of fresh mochi (3pc.) - $5
• One 1lb. bag of mochi to take home  - $9

Spring Break Manga Camp 春休みマンガキャンプ

Manga Spring Day Camp is a fun-filled week of Japanese culture and arts with a special focus on MANGA! We have an exciting week of activities to immerse beginner and intermediate level manga enthusiasts in Japanese Canadian arts and culture.

Manga Camp kids will experience a lineup of workshops by local Vancouver comic artists who will share their knowledge of illustration, storytelling, and design. They'll get to design and create their own manga and will take home a copy of their comic booklet, including stories designed by all of the day campers! The manga component will be complemented by crafts and activities inspired by Japanese culture.
