I thought I was prepared for the death of my Mom when I was in my 30’s. She had been sick for awhile so it was no surprise when she passed away. It was the same with my daughter Laura. She had been sick for awhile due to drug usage and the damage it had done to her body.  She was only 31.

Like most Mother/daughter relationships- ours had been strained for many years. Her use of drugs had me taking on the role of tough love. I watched her decline with anger and horror.

Like most people I remember the worst year of my life. In 2018 I lost my soul dog Ralphie, and then in October of that same year my only child died.

In 2019 I found myself in a deep depression and even contemplating suicide. I only shared this with a few people but it was a cry for help. I was told about the Helping Parents Heal organization and given the information to connect with Elizabeth. She was welcoming and friendly as I attended my first meeting.

I didn’t want to be there and honestly didn’t want to associate with these people. After that meeting I didn’t want to go back. But I continued to read the posts on facebook and attend the monthly meetings. After awhile these people became like family. Only they could understand the huge loss and was willing to hear stories of Laura.

In the November meeting of Helping Parents Heal at Unity of Phoenix with Christopher and Eddie Mendez, I had my very first “gallery” reading with Chris Mendez. I know he connected with Laura because she mentioned how good I looked and how I was healing. How could he know this?

I was always large and had weight loss surgery in 2020. Laura never got to see me thin. I know it was Laura because we were always into fashion and she “is” proud of my accomplishments.

There are too many stories to name here but with the help of HPH I have become a new person. A better version of myself and I am certainly more connected then ever before. Healing is a journey that can be done. I “speak” with Laura daily, have regular dream visitations from her and our relationship is better now than when she was alive. I am blessed!

Thank you for all you do. I’m so happy to have found HPH and blessed to have you and the HPH network in my life.

Oh Stacey, Thank you so much..I received a reading from you on November 22nd during a Zoom meeting of Helping Parents Heal. 
Jonny was 28 but looked very young. He acted and sang in fact, you mentioned music we recorded a song together 1 month before he passed. You mentioned Mar and Ellen that is my mother I believe she was with him

My son journaled we both do and He was journaling about the same thing as me as I found his journal after he passed. He loved the water and his cottage and loved to run off the dock and jump into the water. He loved tubing.  He did not like to drive; that's where he had his 1st Afib attack.
Yes, we have work to do, as I found his thumb drive with a Bible study for helping young men, and me and my husband and his brother my other son are going to do it. 
He is also a writer as am I but I write children's books ad he writes novels we are working on a book to help other parents and siblings heal.

The ring I helped him pick out the engagement ring for his wife. 'Race to the Finish' was the movie he stared in it has a new name now on Amazon prime 'Super Heroes Don't need Capes.'

Jonny helped many many young men at his own detriment. He jumped in front of a gun to save a friend's life. He wore a medal around his neck always. It meant a lot my husband gave him his dog tags He died from Afib - a clot in the heart upper aorta.

Stacey nailed it; he came to me right away we are best friends he told me we have much work to do together. I paint and draw and write and Jonny was a beautiful singer and writer and actor.

I am so Thankful he told me he was coming thru you Stacey and he did!! Thank you -  so beautiful. Thank you!

I am a mother to four children Shayne, Ricki, Carly and Chloe, my son Ricki, forever 23 passed due to an accidental heroin overdose on 30/06/2015. I honestly believe we have a soul agreement and mission together. The pain we all suffer as parents, whatever age in whatever circumstance our child passes, it changes our world forever. I had a spiritual awakening through Rick reaching out to me straight away with amazing signs and synchronicities, I searched for him and we met ‘somewhere in the middle’. From this beautiful place, we are so strongly connected. I developed my Mediumship abilities at my local Inverness Spiritualist Church and supported Mentorship programmes, a huge part of my healing journey. Mediumship is my passion. I recently became an Accredited Medium and an Accredited Tarot Reader. I continue to learn and grow and love to watch other Medium’s work. I believe Ricki and I have a soul mission helping other parents.

Our healing journey is not easy, but I do believe we grow as a soul and go on to finding a purpose, what we came here to do. Becoming a Caring Listener is in my heart. I feel so honoured to connect with such amazing parents and look forward to sharing this amazing space together.

A NEW YEAR'S MESSAGE FROM THE OTHER SIDE

It's the start of a New Year, dear Shining Light Parents, and what better time than now to share with you more Wisdom of Greg! In an earlier column, we talked about how our son in spirit is guiding us here on this Earth plane. Since Greg's passing eight years ago, his Dad is able to hear Greg talk to him, and his messages are so comforting and gentle. We call these beautiful messages the Wisdom of Greg, and he recently told us something that will carry us through this coming year and beyond.
   
One recent afternoon, I said to Bill, "I wonder if Greg is as frustrated with us as we were with him when he was here. Everything we know, and we still can't do it right all the time." We tried so hard to give Greg good guidance as he struggled while he was here, and now he is giving us such amazing guidance to help us live our lives, and yet it's so difficult to put that into consistent practice. Knowing what we know, based on what Greg has told us and what we have learned, you would think we would be doing life perfectly! Living every moment down here with love, peace and joy in your heart is challenging. We know we're human, as well as Light, and the human side sometimes takes over. Driving in heavy traffic springs to mind! 

We know Greg is always with us and hears everything, especially when we're talking about him, but I had no idea he would respond to my musings so quickly! Later in the day, Bill went into our office to meditate, and Greg started talking to him right away. Bill got up to write it down, and here is what Greg said:

"Hi Dad, hi Mom. Today, Mom, I heard you say, 'Everything that we know, and we still can't put into place behavior that is based on what we have been shown and come to realize as being true'. Yes, that is so, but it is not about being perfect. This is about learning and growing into a more loving place for yourself among all of God's Creation. If we could all do it right all the time we would be done and could go Home to rest. The fun is learning how to take baby steps towards becoming like the only perfect being in existence, the One, the Creator, the All Knowing. There are great masters who have learned over eons to completely surrender to this stream of consciousness, and they are still learning, but occupy much of their time sharing their understanding with those ready to hear. It is why we have forever to master this knowledge, for no consciousness is capable of ever totally becoming the One because then there would be two. So as we reach for the stars, we attain a resemblance of the One as a shard of the One but not the One as there is only One. This is accomplished by those with a desire to brighten and shine their light more intensely, for this gives one the greatest insight into the One if this is what is desired on your journey. I can think of no better ambition or goal than to shine as a star of the One. Not all care to achieve this but you have forever to figure it out. Those searching for this state of total knowing and elation are the teachable. God has great blessings for these souls. Let the journey continue. It is a quest of miracles and magnificence. You have no idea. You are now on this journey and that can never be taken away. Your eyes are wide open. You have made unconsciousness unbearable and so there is no going back. Give yourselves a pat on the back for making a contribution to this journey of love."
   
Greg's message is exactly the same as a message Bill received a few months ago from one of his guides, a great master, when Bill was judging himself about behavior that he felt was not up to the mark. Bill's guide told him, "Do not be so hard on yourself. We do not judge you and only love you as one of our children with no thoughts of how you are behaving in your circumstances. All that matters to us is that you're making progress, and that is no easy task, for you have many challenges to deal with on a daily basis on your earthly plane. You are doing well and we are very proud of you. Be patient with yourself. Do not judge yourself harshly for you are pure Love and there is no right or wrong way to do you. Your higher self knows what you wish to attain and aspire for in your lifetime, and you will accomplish all you set out to be. Just be grateful for your experience, be proud of your progress, and love yourself as much as we do. You must be kind to yourself and know that all is well and happening to you as you had planned. You are blessed and loved much. Forgive yourself. We have. Be content to be who you are. There is much love in you. You can never go back from where you have come from and your future is very bright...and remember, you have forever. Greg has awakened you to that awareness. Patience and perseverance. Have faith all is well."
   
These beautiful words apply to all of us, dear Shining Light Parents, especially at this time of year when people are making New Year's resolutions and inevitably coming short of the mark. It touches the deepest part of the soul to be told you don't have to be perfect, but you can choose to make some progress, and you have forever to do it. So as we head into this New Year, we encourage you to be gentle with yourself, forgive yourself, and be proud of yourself for heading into 2023 with open eyes and an open heart.

On November 23, 2021, while out shopping for his father’s birthday gift, my son collapsed and died from a sudden cardiac arrest.  My life changed forever, and I thought I would never ever experience any form of joy again, and to be honest, I didn’t want to continue living. Even though I had my daughter, husband, and parents to live for, I needed to know my child was okay, and I wanted to be with him.  That was until spirit led me to Helping Parents Heal, which has been a life saver for me. I now KNOW that my son is still here with me, and he wants me to continue living….and I will do just that!

Kerry Alderuccio:
I'm a psychic medium and author, but more importantly; I'm Sam's mum. Sam passed to the spirit world in May, 2012 in a tragic car accident. I have always believed in the afterlife, and this gave me the strength to survive my grief. My own mediumistic abilities were only realised after Sam's passing and sadly, I had no idea that HPH existed until early 2022. I wish that I knew about this amazing group earlier, as their understanding of the continuation of life is in full alignment with my own. I want to give parents hope of a better future, through knowing that their children live on.

Karolina Barac:
I found HPH shortly after the unexpected & tragic passing of my beautiful daughter, Olivia at 15 in Oct 2021. We are a very open minded & spiritual family & noticed Olivia was sending signs & trying to communicate straight away - we just needed to learn how to receive them! I dived into healing & educating myself on energy work, soul planning & spirit communication, which has now extended to facilitating the healing of others. I am a Usui Reiki Master, Advance Akashic Records Practitioner, Psychic Medium student & currently undertaking a Kinesiology degree. The physical loss of our children is devastating but the love & relationship continues as our children live on. 

Danny & Angela London:
My wife Angela and I are raising our boys in the suburb of Aldinga Beach in South Australia. We live close to the beach and all of our 3 boys love the ocean and in particular the surf.  Our three boys are Ethan (18), Gemtree (14) and Lacy (12).  Ethan passed in December of 2019 in a car accident.  Our boy loved life and was always up for adventure.  He loved the ocean and the outback and his heart was torn between the two.  He loved to laugh and his laugh made others laugh and every time I hear a Kookaburra I know he is close.  He had a tremendous capacity to love in the moment and the extent of the hearts that he touched only became apparent to us after he passed.  This capacity has not diminished and his lessons on love come to us daily and we are painfully but joyfully going along for the ride.  We hope to share this legacy and journey with others.

Marie Sulda:
I am a Mother of two wonderful daughters, my Earth daughter Gigi and my Angel daughter Sienna (who passed suddenly from an aneurysm when she was 11) on the 16th of May, 2020. Sienna’s passing was something I always believed I could never survive....but through her signs, dreams and messages, I have realised that she is still with me. Sienna is a beautiful old soul who loved to give strangers compliments, cared for the bullied kid at school and inspired her friends and even adults to be themselves. She has inspired me use my remaining earth years to help others as best I can. I look forward to sharing and healing together. 

Anne-Marie Taplin:
Anne-Marie’s elder son, Harry, transitioned in October 2020, aged just 19, in a motorcycle accident. She has been a member of HPH Australia/New Zealand since January 2021 and is grateful for the focus on signs, the afterlife, films and books about spirituality and beyond. Since Harry’s accident, she has immersed herself in art and creativity, including writing about the experience of loss and connection. She has active communication with her son through abundant dreams and visitations as well as the occasional sign, for which she is beyond grateful. She is also mum to George, aged 18, and lives in Adelaide, Australia.

Merle Taylor:
My beautiful son Chris, 34 years old, transitioned in Dec 2018 while overseas in Bali with his family. It was a tragedy.

I have been blessed with an upbringing of knowing that heaven exists right here and that our loved ones are right here with us, this gave me great peace at the time and acceptance. I was still very sad. I went searching to validate my beliefs and found Helping Parents Heal through watching the interview with Craig McMahon “Life to AfterLife, mom can you hear me.”

I would like to bring hope and connection to others, helping others to see our kids are not ‘gone’ but are now precious loving light and energy doing everything they can to help us on our journey forward on this earthly plane in joy and love.

Every month, please join us for a Sound Healing Meditation with author and Shining Light Mom Andrea Courey! Award winning entrepreneur, author, lecturer and recipient of a McGill University Dobson Fellow, Andrea graduated from McGill University in 1982 and from the University of Victoria in 2018 with a Master’s in Education. Since Andrea’s near death experience in 1991, she has been practicing meditation and was introduced to Sound Meditation a decade later.

Andrea’s daughter Chloe passed into Spirit in 2016. Six weeks later, Andrea began a dialogue with Chloe after hearing Chloe’s words 'Mom, you are so easy to find it's a joke'. Judith A. Hancox, MSW, LCSW, BCETS, has been a holistic trauma recovery practitioner since 1990. She is licensed in Vermont and New Jersey, and telehealth certified in Florida. She has certifications in Gestalt Therapy, EMDR, Evolving Thought Field Therapy, Repair & Reattachment Grief Therapy, and Past Life Regression Therapy, trained by Dr. Brian Weiss. Judith is the founder of Shiome Therapy and is board-certified by the American Association of Experts in Traumatic Stress. She co-produced Creating Healthy Boundaries CD with a guided meditation and bilateral musical composition, Angelic Sea. She also created Shiome, The Way: Energy Correcting Meditation (book and CD which consists of two guided meditations - 16 minutes and 6 minutes) with a bilateral musical composition, Bi-Lateral Bliss, and the music of Graceful Ascension and Heavenly Descent. Davey transitioned on July 20, 2016; he was involved in a solo car accident at the age of 24. This is documented along with their journey in David’s book Finding Davey. We felt Davey right away and knew he was not gone. We found out about HPH and it has helped us heal and connect with other patents. We enjoy talking about the signs we get from Davey and hearing about other parents’ experiences. Being a “Shining Light Parent” has helped us find meaning. Now with the HPH Meditation group, we would like to help others through positive energy and love with the help of our children on the other side.  Please click here to learn more!
