In the past year there have been over 3200 cleaning requests in the city, including 122 incidents of fouling and 700 illegal dumping collections totalling 25 tonnes of waste. But who are the people doing the cleaning? Find out on Our Wellington.

Several murals will be popping up around Pōneke over the next couple of months recognising mana whenua, our creative culture and adding further vibrancy to the capital. The three main projects will have many benefits for the city, from acknowledging mana whenua sites of significance and making our cultural heritage more visible through ngā toi Māori, to contributing to safer, brighter and more vibrant public spaces. Read more about the murals on Our Wellington.

Courtenay Place is at the heart of the Pōneke Promise – our joint programme to improve safety in the central city. The party precinct boasts a vibrant nightlife, but due to the nature of alcohol consumption in a condensed area, that doesn’t come without risk. Find out what we're doing to ensure Courtenay Place is safe and welcoming over the busy festive season.
