the most amazing DeRosa early 1942 Flower Basket... stunning DeRosa Sterling Russian Victorian Drum Swirls Bracelet, fired enamel as described in the Women's Wear Daily Feature, and advertised in Vogue Feb 1947... spectacular and rare pre-sterling DuJay Moonstone Swirl and Ruby characteristic Star Flowers pin clip.. never here before, Trifari Philippe Empress Eugenie 'Rococo' 1940 series sea shell with pearls (so an oyster rather than a scallop?), another new patent on site after all these years...

spectacular Boucher pave openwork and coloured chaton designs, spanning a decade - 1940 bracelet with peridots, matching other pieces in the 1940 series, including the 1940 advertised MB Peacock feather in rubies already on site (linked above) - all 'borrowed' from 1940 Paul Flato fine jewelry - and then revisited by Boucher in 1950, in pieces that made the pages of Cera's Jewels of Fantasy - the Peacock Tail Swirl pin in tonight's update, with 1950 marks, matching the 1950 Choker Necklace (with Vogue advert) already on site (thumbnail also linked above)... The revisitation of earlier designs was constant, for both the great French designers of vintage New York costume jewelry, Boucher and Philippe...

excellent Jelly Bellies tonight - Coro Sterling patented 1945 Swan... rare Jelly Belly Rooster, unseen in books, but here before, marked Sterling... Trifari Philippe matched pair of 'Curl' (as Brunialti calls them) Pin Clips, another 'retro' revisitation of the early 40s (not only the designs, but the actual use of 'pin clips', rather than pins) - part of the 'Fairyland' series, from the advertised matching necklace... rarest of the Trifari Royal Crowns, the Jelly Belly, patented a month after the birth of the present King Charles III on 14 November 1948 (and another design revisited later by Phlilippe, in red enamel, for Elizabeth II's 1953 Coronation...

superb 1940s and 50s fashion jewelry - big statement 1940-41 Mazer four petal Blue Topaz and Gold flower pin... Mazer, again revisiting the early 40s at the end of the decade, gorgeous pave and emeralds bowknot choker... 1950 Trifari Philippe Clair de Lune series, patented earrings as advertised in Vogue... Ciner late 1950s superbly and precisely executed, almost filigree intricacy of openwork, pearls and turquoise cabochons fan pin...
