A short mailing from me to wish you a Happy Christmas and a Happy New Year and to offer a few resources for Epiphany and in preparation for Candlemas.
Many of you will have worked extremely hard to provide a range of activities for the children in your churches and schools in the last few weeks-thank you on their behalf.
Some of you will be keen to further develop the relationship between your church school and church. Have you already seen the information about Authorised Chaplaincy Assistant training? We have postponed the starting date by one term so that the two term course, offered in conjunction with Ridley Hall, starts at the beginning of the summer term this year. If you are interested in finding out more, visit the School Chaplaincy webpage.
Whatever your year holds ahead, whether it is what you are hoping for or a challenge, please join me in entrusting it to God and his leading and guiding.
And I said to the man who stood at the gate of the year:
"Give me a light that I may tread safely into the unknown."
And he replied:
"Go out into the darkness and put your hand into the Hand of God.
That shall be to you better than light and safer than a known way."
