Warming Up for a Successful Winter: Final Weekly Tip!

Tip #8: Promote, promote, promote!

Using creative promotional tactics was the second-most common tip shared by previous Winter Reading winners. From putting "Log your minutes in Beanstack" signs in the car pick-up line and banners in the library to recreating viral dance videos, many past winners combined physical and social media marketing for maximum effect.

Get more ideas and insights from our Winter Reading Report, and spread the word about Winter Reading 2023: All the Feels in your community!

Frequently Asked Questions: Top 3 Questions of the Week

Here are the top bingo reading challenge questions coming into the Helpdesk recently. Head to the Help Center to review all bingo challenge help materials.

Q: Is it possible to have more than one bingo badge?
A: There are two bingo badge options: the bingo badge, which is earned for the first bingo, and the full card badge, which is earned for earning all the badges on the card.

Q: Can we customize the label on an activity badge in the card view?
A: When viewing the bingo card, the label underneath activity badges reads "Complete X Activities" to inform readers of how to earn the badge. It cannot be changed. When clicked, then the badge name and activities are displayed.

Q: Can we add a completion badge?
A: The bingo badge serves as the completion badge for all bingo reading challenges! You cannot add a traditional completion badge for a different set of requirements, but you can make sure that each row of badges on your bingo card contains the amount of reading, activities, and reviews you want to require for completion. You can also add a full card badge to reward full card completion.

Helpdesk Reminder: Winter Break Schedule

Our offices will be closed for our annual winter break from Dec. 24 to Jan. 2. This allows our team to spend time with friends and family, recharge, and return ready for Winter Reading and beyond. During this period, the Helpdesk will be monitored for urgent issues and response times may be slower than normal.
