Annual Point-in-Time Count will be held on Monday, January 30th

What is the Point-in-Time count?
The Point-in-Time (PIT) count is a count of sheltered and unsheltered people experiencing homelessness on a single night usually in January. The U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) requires that communities conduct a count of
people experiencing homelessness who are sheltered in emergency shelter or living on the street or other locations not meant for human habitation.

Point-in-time counts are important because they establish the dimensions of the problem of homelessness and help policymakers and program administrators track progress toward the goal of ending homelessness.

The Heartland Continuum of Care will hold our count on January 30th at 8 PM. We will meet at MERCY Communities located at 1344 N 5th St.
