Newly elected Southeastern District President, Rev. William Harmon, is planning a tour of the Southern Region of our District in January 2023. In his only stop in the upstate or western North Carolina, President Harmon will visit Immanuel and hold a forum in our sanctuary from 7:00-9:00 PM on Tuesday, January 24, sharing information about the workings of the District.
Friends from LCMS congregations will be invited. Coffee and desserts will be served. All Immanuel members are invited to meet President Harmon and learn about the work of our Southeastern District.
Sunday School meets each Sunday at 9:15 AM. Ages K3-5th Grade.

Grey Heirs will be having a New Year Planning Meeting on January 19 at 11:30 AM. Join us at Shortfields Restaurant, 111 N. Main Street Simpsonville.
We have their private room reserved for this time of looking ahead to 2023 and making some exciting plans for the Grey Heirs. Please bring some event ideas and consider hosting one of our months.
I am happy to announce we will be starting a Secret Sister Ministry at Immanuel.
Secret Sisters is a ministry between you and another sister in our church family. You become her silent prayer partner and secret encourager for the next several months. We will be starting in early February and ending with a “Reveal Party” in October.
There will be questionnaire forms available in the narthex. Please fill them out and return Feb. 1st. We will be having a dedicated table in Amy’s office for us to place our gifts and cards.

An Installation of Officers and Board members elected to serve Immanuel in 2023 will take place in both Divine Services on Sunday, January 15.
The Safety Response Team is in need of volunteers. Our goal is to have enough people so that we can serve one Sunday per month at either the 8:00 AM or 10:30 AM service.
We will be offering training for the team by our security consultants. Please contact Rick Danielson, Amy Trudell, Linn Eckert or Kirk Tower if you have questions or would like to volunteer.
