Doorstead is pioneering a new class of risk-free property management "iRenting" by providing landlords guaranteed rental income, regardless of occupancy.

SELECT FINANCINGS
- Small Door, a membership-based chain on veterinary clinics, raised $40M in Series B funding. Backers include C&S Family Capital, FS Investors, Toba Capital, Lerer Hippeau Ventures, Primary Venture Partners and TriplePoint Capital.
- PreAct Technologies, a Portland-based developer of near-field software-definable flash lidar, raised $14M in Series B funding. I Squared Capital led, and was joined by State Farm Ventures, Luminate, and Traylor Capital.
- Dallas PropTech startup Stellar reports $20M Series B funding round.
- Worlds, a Dallas-based 4D infrastructure company for metaverse building, raised $21.2M in Series A1 funding. Moneta Ventures led the round and was joined by Align Capital, Green Park & Golf Ventures, Chevron Technology Ventures, Piva Capital, Perot Jain, and Capital Factory.
- Fractal Homes secured $30M in seed funding with White Star Capital leading the equity portion.
- SnapTrude, a New York-based building design startup, raised $6.6M in seed funding co-led by Accel and Foundamental VC.
- Higharc, a Durham, N.C.-based homebuilding platform, raised $1.3M in strategic funding from Simpson Strong-Tie.
- Scythe Robotics, a Colorado-based developer of landscaping robots, raised $42M in Series B funding. Energy Impact Partners led, and was joined by ArcTern Ventures, Alumni Ventures and Amazon’s Alexa Fund.
HEADLINES
- Deere agrees to let farmers repair their own equipment. The farming tech giant said that its machines can now be repaired by individuals or independent shops, after being accused of making it too costly for farmers to make fixes on their own.
- Side Inc. has announced that Zillow vet Stephen Capezza will assume the newly created role of President at the real estate tech company. “Side’s platform is the future of brokerage,” said Capezza. “I’m thrilled to play a role in expanding this unique model so that even more agents, teams, and independent brokers across the country can take ownership of their business and careers.”
- Tech-heavy property services firm Lessen announced that it has acquired SMS Assist, an industry-leading facilities maintenance technology company, in a $950M deal.
- Pagaya Technologies, a global technology company delivering ai infrastructure for the financial ecosystem, has today announced its first acquisition, the purchase of Darwin Homes. The combination creates a data-rich, technologically sophisticated offering for all participants in the SFR space, including residents, investors and service providers.
