Dear Wild Nature Hearts,
Sometimes it takes that dark, rainy quiet time along a river with mountain kin and thunder beings to hear the next right things. The elements of this new course have been fermenting for some time—now they have deliciously coalesced into a course container that I’m really excited about.
I'm calling in a group of Awkward Evolutionaries and Flawed Earth Mystics to practice journeying off the map.
 FALLING OFF THE MAP: Trickster Practice In the Great Composting is an 8-week interactive course dedicated to proliferating imaginal buds beyond the inherited coordinates of Modernity, through an animist, ecospiritual, liberatory lens.
To cross the threshold into species maturity with a next-season guest pass will require experimenting with trickster moves beyond imperially recognized desires and habits. It will mean cracking open the paved super-highways of our hearts and imagination to allow the underground tributaries of our dreams and wild purpose to flow into new/old landscapes.
Falling Off the Map is premised on cartographic promiscuity with our holy longings as compass and structured around experimenting in an embodied way with 12-ish trickster values/practices/images, including:
- Walking in the Labrinthocene/The Great Compost Pile
- Practicing Betrayal of Founding Mythologies
- Cultivating the Proliferation of Imaginal Cells
- The Wizardry of Both/And
- We Are: Otherwise Power & the Ecological Self/Non-Self
- Sacred Grief as Portal to Liberation
- Play and Pleasure as Pollination
- Wisdom of No Escape
- At the Feet of Brutal, Beloved Teacher: Death
- Expanding Skies Within: Dancing with Discomfort
- Playground of Beloved Monsters
- I Don't Shit Rainbows Council
Over 8 weeks we will explore together through Online Gatherings, Council Circle, Poetry, apprenticing to water, slug, and lichen, and integration activities. The style is emergent, playful, curious, awkward, vulnerable, & honoring.
A core component of this experiences is having the opportunity to do a supported solo overnight or extended day quest on-the-land ceremony through the framework of wilderness rite-of-passage.
