Jody has been named to the Climate Advisory Board of Norges Bank Investment Management, the asset manager of the Norwegian sovereign wealth fund. In this role, she will support NBIM in implementing and further developing its recently published Climate Action Plan to ensure it is appropriately ambitious and effective. The Plan outlines specific actions the fund aims to take through 2025, including engaging and challenging its portfolio companies to adapt their business models to align with net-zero emissions by 2050. Welcome Andrew Mergen, New Director of HLS Emmett Environmental Law and Policy Clinic!
Andrew Mergen has joined the Emmett Clinic as director, and will also be teaching environmental courses. Jody Freeman said, “Andy is in a category all his own – an expert litigator who has operated at the highest levels of government, and who everyone on all sides of environmental issues deeply respects.
