• Adolfo Kaminsky Dies at 97; His Forgeries Saved Thousands of Jews — It's easy to forget all of the ways that ordinary people do extraordinary things.
• Saudi firm has pumped Arizona groundwater for years without paying. Time to pony up — Growing alfalfa in the desert is monumentally unwise. Selling the water for ridiculously cheap to grow alfalfa for use half a world away is even more unwise.
• Chuck E. Cheese still uses floppy disks in 2023, but not for long — I'm not surprised they use old tech. I am surprised that they're getting rid of the animatronics.
• The Case for Abolishing Elections — I don't yet know if I agree with the idea of democracy by lottery, but it's an interesting idea to consider. (h/t Freshly Brewed Thoughts)
