Dear Friend,
Many Dreams involve travel, and it’s important to remember that we can only help with such Dreams if the Dream recipient or someone traveling with them has a major credit card or well-funded debit card.
As our Dreams are not all-inclusive, the credit card is needed to cover expenses such as meals and ground transportation, as well as the unforeseen cost associated with a hospital stay and getting home in case of an emergency.
If Dream requests include a hotel stay, a credit card is needed at check-in to cover incidentals. And if a debit card is used for check-in, the hotel will put a hold on the card. Often, the blocked funds will not be released until about a week after the stay. Similarly, to rent a car at the destination, a credit card is essential.
We don’t ask for anyone’s credit card number, nor do we keep such details on file, and we only ask for confirmation of a credit or well-funded debit card to keep the Dream recipients and their loved ones safe.
Patrick’s Dream below was only possible because his mother’s travel companion held a credit card.
