WE'VE BEEN BUSY!

Ninety-eight hours of programming last fall for 60 youth, including our second annual Winter Pop-Up Program!

WE'VE BEEN GROWING!

In 2022, it became clear we needed to make some changes to meet the demand for programs. Since July, TBB's staff size has doubled! As the year came to a close, TBB's staff invested time and energy in learning and bonding so we could bring the BEST to our youth. Everyone got a chance to get to a conference for a fully immersive experience, and we've begun our visits to other mission-aligned organizations.

Thank you, Tacoma Creates, School's Out Washington, 11th Hour Racing, Fisheries Supply, and Chesapeake Light Craft, for making these learning and community-building opportunities accessible!

MEET THEM WHERE THEY ARE!

Tacoma Boat Builders is getting around!

Literally! It's official, Tacoma Boat Builders owns a van! Now we can serve youth in their neighborhoods, visit community sites and partners, and transport youth and families. This would not have been possible without the generous support of the Boeing Employee Community Fund, the Korum for Kids Foundation, and the Altmann Family Foundation. Thanks to you, we can get out there in the community!

Captain's Cocktail Hour Highlights:

With so much to share and show off, TBB opened its doors to our supporters for a fun kickoff event. Our guest of honor was none other than Sam! He's all grown up and had some great things to say about his experience with TBB back in 2015-2016. Dozens of folks got to hear firsthand why we must keep up the good work.

Folks got to admire and bid on all the auction items while sipping on tasty beverages by Devil's Reef and enjoying a Charcuterie Board (almost) too pretty to eat from Chefed by Sonunique. It's no wonder folks stayed late that Wednesday! Thanks to all who joined us! And thank you, Sam, for sharing your story with our friends.
