Sing, Dance, Act Together
Chatham County's need for performing arts educational and performance space has never been greater. Center for the Arts Pittsboro (CFTA) has grown to capacity, serving over 340 performing arts student hours in house per week through theatrical casts and music education programs, employing over 10 teaching artists and enriching thousands of audience members each year during public theater performances.
“Act 3” Capital Campaign is the largest undertaking in our history and occurs during the beginning of unprecedented growth in Chatham County.
This campaign will support the capital project, North Chatham Performing Arts Center, including upgrading its Sweet Bee Theater teaching and performance space, the one and only community theater in the county, music school, and a dance school with the finest dance amenities in Chatham.
Children, adults and families will come together at our Bynum campus to sing, dance and act at NCPAC. Enjoying this trifecta of performing arts in a vibrant arts space, patrons will experience community through performing arts group activities.
Especially during this pivotal time after COVID and when social media increasingly seduces people to socialize while isolated, team performing arts programs and live events are an invaluable key to our community's mental and interpersonal health.
People getting out
and getting together
to engage through performing arts
is our goal.
We aim to separate North Chatham from the impersonal bedroom community it may grow into. Our NCPAC "Act 3" campaign supports the continuity and creation of vital performing arts programs that enrich the cultural landscape of North Chatham County.
Involvement in music, dance and theater teaches children a variety of unique ways to communicate. This is one of many positive ways we love impacting our larger community.
