Unity Health Care (Unity) is the District's largest network of community health centers and has committed to integrating primary care and behavioral health services since 2020. Through Integrated Care DC, Unity leadership has engaged their primary care and behavioral health providers in evolving their services along the integrated care continuum.

January is Mental Wellness Month
January is Mental Wellness Month. It is a great reminder to check Integrated Care DC for the latest tools and resources to help your patients cope better with the everyday stresses of work and home life. It is also an opportunity to provide patients with mental wellness programs that build resiliency at home and in their communities. Several additional resources could help. Discovery Mood & Anxiety Program has 4 Ways to Practice Mental Wellness in the New Year. Also, the DC Department of Behavioral Health lists several local mental health organizations where patients can get help.

Advance Directive Learning Series
Did you miss our Advance Directive webinar series? You can now access these sessions on-demand on the Integrated Care DC. During the three sessions, HMA's Dr. Barry Jacobs led a panel that included Corey Main from DC CRISP and Nathanial Curry from DHCF through case discussions focusing on why and how the care team can talk to their patients about this sensitive topic. The panel also discussed ways providers could use the new CRISP Advance Directive tool.
