Freezing rain warning in effect for:

• Châteauguay - La Prairie area
• Laval area
• Longueuil - Varennes area
• Montréal Island area

Ice accretion amounts of 2 to 5 mm are expected beginning Wednesday evening.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots will become icy, slippery and hazardous. Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve. There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas.

Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
