VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
St. Paul’s needs your help in several areas. These volunteer positions are extremely important and an opportunity to be part of something special. Contact the school if you are interested in any of these essential opportunities.

Raider Events Committee Chairperson - St. Paul’s Lutheran School is looking for a WELS or ELS person interested in becoming the chair of our Raider Events Committee. This position is critical for planning and organizing fellowship events for St. Paul’s families and staff.

Yearbook—The yearbook is done online through our photographer, Strawbridge. The online software is simple to use and the pictures will be taken for you. We just need someone with an eye to put the yearbook together.

Labels Program—St. Paul’s collects labels and receipts. The volunteer for this program will cut, count, and prepare a mailing. The result is extra money for the school. The extra money is used directly for the benefit of the students, 100%.
GET TO KNOW OUR TEACHERS
Each of the teachers has provided some fun and unique facts about himself/herself. We plan to share this information so that you can make your own guess as to who might have experienced these three fun facts.

Share your thoughts on the Raider Events Committee Facebook page. We will publish the identity of the mystery teacher on the Facebook page as well.
RAIDER CHOIR MUSICAL
The Raider Choir musical is open to students in grades 6 – 8. This year we will be performing the musical, “Twinderella.” The date for the musical is March 17 - 18. Informational meetings for those interested will be held on Monday January 9 and Tuesday, January 10 from 3:10 – 3:30. The students should come to one of the meetings.Until the basketball season is over, musical practices will be worked around the basketball schedule. We are looking for parents who would be willing to help out with the musical. If you are interested in helping with costumes, sets, lights, or in any other way, please contact Mrs. Ring or Mrs. Schone.
A QUESTION FOR OUR PARENTS - PARENT MOVIE NIGHT
The Raider Events Committee is tossing around the idea of a PARENTS ONLY Movie Night. This Google form is to check and see if there would be enough interest in us hosting this event. With the new amazing sound system in the gym it is just like you are at the movie theater. Due to the great sound, we thought the perfect movie to show would be Top Gun: Maverick. Please fill out this short 2-question form (bit.ly/SPLParentNight) to help us gauge interest and plan accordingly. Full concessions would be served, possibly along with a few extra treats!

We are tentatively looking at Saturday, January 21. There would be no babysitting provided.
BIBLE INFORMATION CLASSES AT ST. PAUL'S
St. Paul’s Lutheran Church will be starting a series of classes aimed at teaching what God says in the Bible. We call these our Bible Information Classes. If you are new to the school, the classes will also help you understand what we are teaching at St. Paul’s.

Classes are open to everyone on Monday nights starting on January 23, 2023. Classes start at 6 pm and last one hour. Contact Pastor Nate Scharf if these nights don’t work for you. Classes are held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 201 N. State St. We will also provide childcare if you let us know your needs ahead of time.

Contact Nate Scharf  to sign up nscharf@splnewulm.org, or 507-354-3641.

The Amazing Race will take place on Sunday, February 5, with lunch starting at 11:30 and race time at 1pm. There will be events at school for everyone, even those who don’t wish to race.

T-shirts this year will be white short-sleeved shirts with the image below on it. They will be $15 a piece. But hurry! The t-shirt ordering deadline is on Tuesday, January 10! Order your t-shirts here.

Finally, watch for an opportunity to help your classroom put together an AMAZING themed class basket for our silent auction. Your teachers will contact you with that information when it becomes available.
