Worship with Central this Sunday January 8, 2023, Baptism of Christ Sunday.
On this blustery Sunday morning we heard special music from our organist Steve McCullough and our choir. Alan Harder assisted and read from Psalm 29. Ellie Templeton gave the Children’s Lesson. She showed them a road map and asked the children about consulting a map during your family’s travels. She reminded them that the Bible is our road map to know what to do.
Pastor Mike Riggins read from Matthew 3. In his sermon “Ascribe” Pastor Riggins spoke of the baptism of Jesus described in Matthew. After Jesus was baptized God said “This is my son; in him I am well pleased”. Jesus was baptized to give us the path to righteousness. Ascribe to the Lord all power and glory.
Holy communion was served. The annual meeting will be held after the service in two weeks on January 22 after the service.
