How to Reserve Library Items from Home

1000 BOOKS BEFORE KINDERGARTEN
Reading is one of the most important skills a child can learn. Help your child become reading-ready by joining the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten challenge! For every 100 books your child experiences before they start Kindergarten, we share a photo with the Hermes and Library Facebook Page. When they hit 1,000 books, we give them an educational workbook and they get their photo on the front page of the paper! To start logging books, pick up a reading lot at the library.

GENEALOGY RESEARCH
Elder and Sister Hovey from the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints are doing family history research at the Stevens County Library.  They are available to help patrons with their own genealogy research questions on the second Thursday of the month at 2 pm and on the last Saturday of the month at 2 pm, unless otherwise posted.  If you have any questions, please call the Library at 620-544-2301.
STORYWALK MONTHLY DRAWING
Win prizes for your family by visiting our Storywalk at the Stevens County Gas & Historical Museum walking trail! Start at the old school building and head north, reading the story as you walk around the trail. Every time you visit, use your smartphone to fill out the participation survey and we will enter you in a monthly prize drawing. You can also send photos of your family enjoying the Storywalk to stacey@stevenscountylibrary.com
