January 4, 2023

Hello CTC Residents!

With the excess of snow, CTC declares a Snow Emergency, in which there will be property-wide snow removal starting Tuesday, January 10 through January 12, 2023. Vehicles will be towed, at expense of vehicle owner, if not properly removed from indicated areas on the respective days.

Do not park in the indicated plowing zones on the upcoming, scheduled days between 7:00 am – 4:00 pm (map below). This allows for UMN Landcare to plow the area, which increases vehicle accessibility while you and your neighbors shovel less (remember to shovel your sidewalk entryways, though!).

Snow Plowing Schedule

Snow Plowing Map

Snow removal (curb to curb) will take place, with each day assigned a designated zone that vehicles cannot park in. All residents and visitor vehicles cannot park in the designated zones between the hours of 7:00 am and 4:00 pm on the respective snow clearing day.

  • Tuesday, January 10: Zone 1
North/Seasonal Lot, Knapp Ave, Fifield Ave, Fifield Place

  • Wednesday, January 11: Zone 2
    Ray Place, Gibbs Ave

  • Thursday, January 12: Zone 3
Raleigh Street, South Fifield, Southeast Lot

Parking Requirements

Tow Risk at Owner’s Expense

Vehicles parking in zones on assigned plowing days will be towed, including resident, visitor, and unidentified vehicles.

Resident vehicles with proper registration and a valid, visible parking permit will be towed to the North/Seasonal Lot and charged $150.00 to their resident account.

Visitor Vehicles and Unidentified Vehicles: All non-resident vehicles — visitor vehicles, improperly registered/identified resident vehicles, or unidentifiable vehicles — will be towed to Budget Towing and must pay the towing company their associated fees.

  • Budget Towing Rates: $300 towing fee, an administration fee, plus an additional $65 per day that the vehicle is in their lot. This totals to $458.74 for the first day.

Parking + Winter Reminders

  • No parking in CTC/CCCC Staff parking on weekdays between 6:00 am-6:00 pm.

  • Wherever you park must be an actual designated parking spot for residents.

  • Alternative parking must be in a designated parking spot of zone not being plowed, do not park on curb, sidewalk, or grounds or seasonal lot unless registered. If all parking is taken, you will need to park off property.

  • Front/back sidewalks and one-bedroom stairs will still be required to be shoveled by all residents. Where is my shovel?

  • Sand + Salt Barrels are available throughout CTC. The barrels provide a grit mixture to sprinkle on slippery patches on parking lots/sidewalks, helping to lessen ice and build traction.

  • You must have the respective permit to park in the Seasonal Paid Parking (North) Lot. For $35/month (prorated by day of use), you can park your vehicle between the indicated signs in the North Lot and are not required to move for snow related circumstances. Contact CTC’s office to receive the Seasonal Paid Parking Permit.

  • Management and Ward Reps have authority to tow all illegally parked or unmarked vehicles.

  • Review all seasonal reminders and responsibilities in our Winter Newsletter!

All the best,
