Today, we introduce you to REVIERE: a favorite, new Montbeliarde bull now available in sexed semen.
REVIERE is the type of bull that really pushes ProCROSS herds forward. He measures up at 162 ISU—the top 0.2% of the breed! He’s a great choice for herds that seek high milk (+3,225 lb), fat (+108 lb) and protein (+110 lb) pounds and with BB and A2A2 caseins.
The REVIERE daughters will have excellent udders (115) and particularly outstanding fore udder attachments (128) while moderating teat length (103) and placement.
We really like REVIERE for use in robot herds because he transmits excellent udder health (+0.9), fast milking speed at 115, and calm temperament at 113. His daughters are expected to reduce your turnover rate (+1.0 Productive life) among a breed already known to add substantial longevity to dairy herds.
Use REVIERE without hesitation on heifers with his 95 (best possible) score for calving ease.
REVIERE originates from the GAEC de la Farce herd in France. He resulted from the embryo exchange program conducted by Umotest (Umotest is responsible for genetic development of bulls marketed by Coopex Montbeliarde). Clearly, REVIERE’s dam has created genetic impact—both in her home herd but in several others. And now through her son!
REVIERE is an early son of the popular bull, OLIFLY—another bull we featured earlier in this series of e-newsletters. OLIFLY is a 161 ISU bull available in conventional semen. REVIERE is a very similar type of bull as his sire; however, REVIERE is available in sexed semen, has the more desirable casein types, and improves on several of his father’s functional traits.
