Police Chief Hornstein Retires
After more than 29 years of service to the Winnetka Police Department, Chief Marc Hornstein retired this week. Beginning in 1993 as a patrol officer, Hornstein has held every position within the Department: Detective, Sergeant, Special Services Sergeant, Commander, Deputy Chief, and Chief. As Chief of Police since June 2017, he has been a strong leader of the Department and displayed a commitment to professional policing, serving our community with dedication, empathy, and respect. We are grateful for all of his work in our Village, and know that he will be missed by his colleagues and many Winnetkans. If you would like to wish him well, please email him.
