(Newsletter Archives)
Hello SDFTC Teams!

We hope all of you had a great holiday season and you are ready to rock at Meet #3 at Mater Dei High School this coming Jan. 14th or 15th. If you have not heard from your tournament host yet, please email Victor@rise4steam.org.

Some Important notes:
1) Some teams have not been providing a volunteer for their meets - this is a requirement of the region and teams who have not provided a volunteer will be asked to show up early for set up on Saturday or stay for clean up after the event on Sunday.

2) Inspections - this is the last meet before the League Tournaments - don't find your robot disqualified in the inspection process and note that your head referees can call into question a robot at any time during the meet. If something is missed by our hardware inspectors, it can still be called out at any time during the tournament. In short, complete you self inspections!!!

3) Game manual 1 <C02.b> states the following: "All questions about a Match or scores must be brought forward to the referees by using the referee question box located in the Competition Area. Only one Student from an Alliance can enter the question box."

IMPORTANT: Please read this rule in its entirety. We have had far too many parents questioning the referees, the field technical staff and scorekeepers, etc. at events and multiple students challenging the referees outside of this method. For the safety of our volunteer referees and fairness to all, please respect their decisions and use the process that has been developed and refined for over twenty years to provide as safe and fair game as possible for our STUDENTS. Questions outside of the meets should be posted on the Firstinspires forum for all to review.

Thank you and good luck teams!
