Thank you so much for supporting the Aldermaston History Group in the past year. The renewal date for your subscription was 1st September 2022, the constitution says it can be paid up to 3 months after the AGM which will be 3rd February 2023. Payment can be made easily, either by card, cash or cheque, at our next meeting on 18th January. Subscription is £20 for 2022/23.


Would you consider setting up an annual standing order for your subscription to support the group long-term?

A reminder of why supporting the legacy of the History Group, through membership, is so vital:

  • to help build funds to keep website running for several years, underwriting the Group’s legacy to Aldermaston. The Heritage Lottery Fund require the website to run for a min. 5yrs (2yrs covered by grant, 3yrs to pay = £1,000)

  • to cover administration fees e.g. public liability insurance, room hire, poster printing, meeting expenses

  • to cover fees to Associations e.g. Berkshire Local History Association (£18/yr) ; British Association for Local History (£75/yr)

  • to cover small ad-hoc expenditure e.g. microphones, website updates, marketing material


In addition, members get the following benefits:

  • Free entry to all meetings

  • Priority for events with restricted numbers

  • Access to Member Only information on the Group website
