Parent Volunteer Opportunity
Please come support Bolton Academy students by participating in this year’s College and Career Motivation Week (CCMW). We need professionals from all career areas who are willing to speak to our students about their careers on Wednesday, February 15 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. (Pre-K, K, 1st, and 2nd graders) and/or Thursday, February 16 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. (3rd, 4th, and 5th graders). Guest speakers will have the opportunity to present in person. Presentations should between 20-25 minutes. Our students love hearing about a variety of careers and we really appreciate your support!

Bolton Mi Encanto
Bolton Mi Encanto is on Wednesday, January 25 at 9:00 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. We are asking for some help from our families to collect images and artifacts that represent the following countries.
- India
- Italy
- Jamaica
- Mexico
- Nigeria
- Pakistan
The images can be on regular letter paper (8.5 X 11), but we need them to be in color. The other 3D artifacts will likely be hot-glued to the stage so please do not send any items that you treasure. Students can get creative and make reproductions using fabric or other materials. Please take any items to Ms. Daniels through your student or drop them off at the front office. We will also need some help pulling the final backdrop together on Monday, January 23, and Tuesday, January 24 so if you are interested in volunteering you can email Ms. Haley
HERE.
Please see below for the classes that will participate in the performance. Parents are welcome to come to either show and all students will be able to watch the show!

PTA News
Hello from your Bolton Academy PTA! We are gearing up for an event in March to get to know those who would like to be more involved with the PTA. Many have expressed interest in playing multiple roles from donating materials to board participation. Please be on the lookout for our upcoming date for a fun night at Public House 28!
Why PTA?
“I have a first grader and 5th grader at Bolton. I’ve had the opportunity to serve on Bolton’s PTA for the past 4 years. Serving on the PTA has allowed me to connect with other Bolton families and our amazing Bolton staff. I love watching the students as they enjoy special events sponsored by the PTA. The PTA is currently in a stage of growth following the pandemic which is very exciting.” - Carrie Herold, PTA Co-President
"I have children currently attending Bolton and I know the time here will go very fast. I joined the PTA as a way to stay connected with the elementary school years and serve the community we love. It's a joy to be working alongside a great group of like-minded parents who want to see Bolton as an excellent place to learn and grow for our kids AND the more hands the lighter the load!" - Shannon Bell, PTA Co-President Elect
If you're interested in learning more about the PTA and/or being part of our fun team, please fill out this google form for more information.
Bolton Winter Dance
We are excited to share that the Bolton Winter Family Dance will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, January 27 at Bolton Academy. Students, parents, and siblings are encouraged to attend. This is not a drop-off event.
Think red carpet, lights, camera, action… the whole nine. The dance will be one to remember and fun for the entire family! Please RSVP HERE so we know how many guests to plan for!
Black History Program
Bolton's annual Black History Program will be in-person this year with an evening parent performance on Tuesday, February 28. Our Black History Committee is excited to work with your students. We need actors, actresses, and dancers. We will be having auditions soon so please fill out the following form HERE if you are interested in learning more. We look forward to showcasing Bolton's talent!
After reviewing the form, if you have any questions you can email Ms. Beazer HERE.
Homework Stretch
We have created a new resource called Homework Stretch for parents and students. The purpose is to provide guidance, practice, and extension for our Bolton Scholars. You will find multiple links for free resources to support learning in reading, writing, math, and foreign languages, as well as sites that help nurture creativity and mental ability.
You can also click at the top right of the Homework Stretch page to visit the Academic Hub. It contains the grade-level Standards of Excellence developed by the Georgia Department of Education for both Reading + Writing and Mathematics.
