NFI to deliver up to 166 zero-emission buses to Manitoba’s Winnipeg Transit

Last week, NFI announced a new order for 16 battery-electric and fuel cell-electric transit buses from Winnipeg Transit, one of Canada’s most efficient transit systems, with options to purchase up to an additional 150 zero-emission buses.

The next generation, high-performance Xcelsior CHARGE FC™ fuel cell-electric and Xcelsior CHARGE NG™ battery-electric buses will accelerate Winnipeg Transit’s transition to a 100% zero-emission fleet ahead of its 2050 target and will help make the city’s vision of a sustainable future a reality. Mass Transit features NFI

Last week, NFI announced that Capital Metro Transportation Authority ("CapMetro") ordered 30 Heliox 180 kWh depot overhead chargers, including 90 pantograph dispensers, by NFI Infrastructure Solutions™. Mass Transit magazine covered the order details, including the original five-year contract with CapMetro for up to 171 battery-electric buses and 427 chargers.
