Happy New Year! After taking time off during the last week of December, the MMSSEF team is now working to get back into our routine. We’re sure you can relate!

Last month, we announced a grant from Society for Science that will provide funds to purchase materials for student projects. We can either reimburse you for purchases made (keep your receipts!) or order the items you need and have them sent directly to you. Use this form to submit the required info and we’ll review the submissions each Wednesday, starting 1/18. If you’re looking to have us order the materials, be sure to submit the application before 4pm on Tuesday for orders to be made on Thursday morning. We’ll provide up to $75 per project until the fund is expended.

One final announcement: we’ve secured a location for our Fair on Saturday, May 6, 2023: the brand-new Boys & Girls Club in Gardiner. They’re excited to welcome you to their beautiful facility and show their support for youth in STEM.

Category Corner: Behavioral & Social Sciences

Anytime a student wants to involve human subjects in their project, they need to submit paperwork to our IRB and wait for approval before beginning experimentation. We call this Advance Review and the form is due by March 10. Earlier is better!
