January News for St. Paul's Youth
 January 6th, 2023

Happy New Year!

We hope that you've had a joyful Christmas and a smooth return to school. We're looking forward to seeing you back this week as regular Sunday formation resumes!

In the new year, youth communications will be moving from weekly to monthly updates (so be sure to keep this email until February!). You'll find the Youth spring calendar below, as well as January highlights.

We're still looking for parents willing to bring dinner and chaperone at EYC Sunday nights. Will you consider bringing dinner this Sunday night for our first EYC of the New Year?

January youth highlights:
  • Sunday, January 8th: regular Sunday formation (including EYC) resumes
  • Sunday, January 15th: EYC invited to join Racial Justice Planning Group to watch & discuss Traces of the Trade
  • January 15th & 16th Rise Against Hunger meal packaging
  • Weekend of January 27-29: Bishops' Ball, Haw River State Park (registration below).
See you soon!

Bishops' Ball: Is back in person and there's still time to register! It's the weekend of January 27-29, at Haw River State Park! This year's event will include all the favorite activities: music, workshops, building community, worship, and a special dinner and dance on Saturday night. The highlight of course is the dance on Saturday and both of our bishops will be there, dancing the night away with us! Scholarships are available. More information on the weekend is here and registration is here.
Opportunities to Worship, Serve, and Grow

Spring EYC ministry:  Thank you to all who chaperoned and brought dinner this fall! EYC relies on parent volunteers to provide dinner and supervision. We ask a parent from each household to volunteer at least once this spring. Here's the link to sign up to chaperone EYC  and here's the signup to provide dinner. Thank you!

Acolyte signup for Sunday Services:  A new signup for winter services is up! Three acolytes will serve at the 9 AM and 11:15 services; 1 crucifer and 2 torchbearers. To sign up to acolyte, click here.

Our congregation is in need of a Youth Coordinator. Please click the link to read the job posting. You can also find it posted on the church website.
