FNC Bank is accepting grant applications through January 15, 2023, for its current 6-month grant cycle serving organizations in St. Croix and Polk Counties. The bank’s grant program was established to provide funding to local organizations that work to improve lives through giving and service. An emphasis is given to funding requests which focus on providing access to basic needs (food, clothing, and shelter) and promotion of literacy within the two-county area.

“We created the FNC Bank Grant Program to support local nonprofits that positively impact our communities and enhance the lives of area residents.” said Scott Soderberg, CEO of FNC Bank. “We recognize these organizations provide crucial support services to our region, and that many are feeling the strain of increasing need.”

The bank’s grant program is further supported by the recent launch of their Green Giving checking account. This one-of-a-kind product was designed with the goal of giving back to the community as the bank donates funds into their grant program with every completed debit card transaction (swipe).

“Giving back to our communities is a long-standing tradition going back three generations” says Scott Soderberg. “The Green Giving account is one more way we can further expand our charitable giving mission.”

Local organizations interested in applying for funding through the FNC Bank Grant Program should click here or visit www.fnc.bank/resources/grants.

The Lifespan of a Fact: a staged reading

Friday, January 27th and Saturday, January 28th at 7:30pm

Directed by Isaac Bont

Cast includes Isaac Bont, Megan Hanks, Kylie Hawkinson, and Nick Miller

Based on the book by John D’Agata and Jim Fingal

THE STORY: Jim Fingal is a fresh-out-of-Harvard fact checker for a prominent but sinking New York magazine. John D’Agata is a talented writer with a transcendent essay about the suicide of a teenage boy—an essay that could save the magazine from collapse. When Jim is assigned to fact check D’Agata’s essay, the two come head to head in a comedic yet gripping battle over facts versus truth.
