Throughout the ages God’s people have tried to live out what Scripture teaches in various ways. Sometimes the Church, and churches, have gone off track and needed to be adjusted, changed and reformed. The story of those adjustments, changes and reformations relate to where we are today, and how we try to live out what Scripture teaches at Sarasota Community Church. In this class we will touch on prominent people and periods in church history. The stories of these people and those times weave together to form the unique fabric of what we call “church” today, around the world, around this country and for us locally. In reality, this might be the most boring class that has ever been taught-we shall see. There’s only one way to find out if this is true or not. Stop by on January 8 and see for yourself!-Steve Lane

Character Breakfasts with Steve Wingfield Coming Soon
 

Sign up at the Info Center for a month of Character Breakfasts with Steve Wingfield in February. Evert Wednesday morning in February we will gather in the Community Hall for a hearty breakfast as well as teaching and discussion based on Lodestar Guidance, a character-based leadership development program. Week 1 will focus on discernment, week 2 will focus on wisdom, week 3 will focus on joyfulness and week 4 will focus on empathy. You must register for this month of breakfasts and the cost is $45 per single or $65 per couple. We hope you can join us for good teaching, good food and good fellowship!
