GLOBE DERBY PARK - SATURDAY 7th JANUARY 2023
Race 1: LIMA ONE PROTECTION GROUP PACE
STEINMAN (6) was quite impressive last start after storming home late to defeat TOBY OGARA by 1.3 metres. He will be hard to beat tonight if he repeats that run.
AMMICCHI (5), CELESTIAL DAYBREAK (3) and EASY ROLLING (7) are also chances.
Race 2: TAB VENUE MODE TROTTERS HANDICAP (HEAT 1)
KYVALLEY SURFERGIRL (2) should improve off her last run tonight off the front mark. If she brings her best run tonight she will be dangerous.
OUR SPITFIRE (4), SUPER ANGUS (12) and IRENE ROSE (3) are also chances.
Race 3: THE GLOBE BAR & GAMING PACE
STROKE OF LUCK (7) is more of sprinter than he is a stayer. The run he received last start didn’t allow him to use his main asset. If he receives a quieter run tonight he will be hard to beat.
MAHARAJAH (2) will be dangerous from gate two.
SIR LUCAS (4) and HESASHARK (8) are also chances.
Race 4: AB AIR SERVICES PACE
SOHO BOB (8) was a very impressive trial winner last week. If he can repeat that trial win from last week then he will be awfully hard to beat.
TOBY OGARA (7) is racing well without winning. He should be able to run another honest race tonight.
WHITESTARCHRISTIAN (2) and SPRINGFIELD AFFAIR (3) are also chances.
Race 5: JOHN ROTHE VIDEO PACE
MIDNIGHT SPORT (7) was a very impressive winner two starts back when he defeated CHILDERS ROAD by a head. He will be a massive threat tonight.
BETTOR BEONTOIT (6) has been running placings here and there but hasn’t won a race for nearly a year.
MANOEUVER MAN (1) got a win out of nowhere Tuesday after weeks of running last or second last. If he can repeat his most recent performance then he will be around the mark.
BIEN HOA (4) is also a chance.
Race 6: BIANCO REINFORCING PACE
LIEUTENANT JACK (1) will get a much better run from the inside draw tonight. If he holds the lead he will be dangerous.
OUR MAJOR JACK (6) had excuses when he was beaten as an odds on favourite last week. He will be dangerous again tonight.
CALCULATING DANCER (5) and HOPPERS DREAM (2) are also chances.
Race 7: CAREER EMPLOYMENT GROUP PACE
ANIMAL (1) should be able to hold the lead from the inside draw. He will be hard to pass if he leads.
PREMONITION (5) has won his last three. He keeps finding ways to win at the moment.
VICTORY MEDAL (2) and ALAKAZAM (4) are also chances.
Race 8: HYGAIN REGAIN MARES PACE (HEAT 1)
HONEYBUN (6) has been running in career best form at the moment. She will be hard to beat if she gets the right run.
SHEZA MANIPULATOR (3) has been impressive since coming to SA but tonight is a massive step up in class for her.
DELIGHTFUL GNP (5) and ROSIANO (7) are also chances.

Race 1: MITAVITE STUDGRO PACE
ALWAYS STEAMED UP (5) wasn’t put into a winning position last start. Her start prior was very good though where she ran second behind MIKIPELO. She will be dangerous if she brings her best run today.
HILLTOP SURFER (1), ACES SHADOW (3) and EL AWOMAN (2) are also chances.
Race 2: HYGAIN RELEASE TROTTERS DISCRETIONARY
UNCLE LOUIS (4) has won his last two starts. He defeated IRENE ROSE by 2.3 metres after doing a lot of work from the back of the field. Today is a big step up in class but he is racing well enough to beat this field.
MILLYS MAGIC (7) is first up from a spell. She should be dangerous.
ALDEBARAN ALISSA (6) and MUSCLETONIAN (2) are also chances.
Race 3: TAB VENUE MODE CLAIMING PACE
CROOKWELL JAKE (5) drops down in class compared to his recent run. He is hard to beat in a claiming race. He will be hard to beat tonight.
SECRET JACK (1), ARTHUR LOWE (4) and STAR WRITER (3) are also chances.
Race 4: K & S ELECTRICAL PACE
STEINMAN (4) was a last start winner when he defeated TOBY OGARA by 1.9 metres. A repeat of that run will make him hard to beat today.
BEANCOUNTER (6), ROCKNROLL YANKEE (7) and TRIGGER (2) are also chances.
Race 5: VALE LYN TESTER TROTTERS MOBILE
LA BELLA FIGURA (4) ran second behind ARU AND ME last start off a 20 metre handicap. The mobile start will help her though and she should be able to improve off that first up run. She will be dangerous.
IRENE ROSE (9), ATOUT (2) and GRAYWOODS DIAMOND (8) are also chances.
Race 6: F & Z ASSURRO EARTHWORKS PACE
ORATOR (5) has run some handy races since returning from a spell. If she can repeat those runs today then she will be dangerous.
SUPERCHARGED (6) is racing well without winning at the moment.
SPEARHEAD (7) and MAKAILA (4) are also chances.
Race 7: BARGAIN STEEL CENTRE PACE
SPORTY FRANK (3) has a big step down in class today. If he brings his best run he will be dangerous.
