Happy New Year!
The Office of the EVP for Research is offering a 1:1 match support of up to $100K for NSF Major Research Instrumentation (MRI) proposals.
NSF recently changed the competition's financial requirements by eliminating the formerly required 30% matching. However, it still requires demonstration of “institutional commitment," which is often supported through space preparation or modification, and/or expert staff technicians, particularly during critical design, installation, and start-up phases. In recognition of these start-up challenges, the EVPR is offering a 1:1 match of support for these costs incurred during the start-up phase.
Requests should be made to researchInitiatives@columbia.edu.
