ARTIST SPOTLIGHT

Christina and Paul Somers are the husband and wife team behind Ally Loves Pajamas, a children's book inspired by their daughter's obsession with wearing pajamas. Christina wrote the story and Paul illustrated the drawings for this book. Originally, life got busy and the project was shelved but then it was given new life during COVID lockdown. Christina spent 2021 navigating the self publishing industry and launched Ally Loves Pajamas at their children's bookfest with CreativeHub 1352 in August 2022.

This book is a loving collaboration between both parents to capture the essence of their daughter. Every page displays small details that Paul included in his hand drawn illustrations of Ally. This trip down memory lane for the family is now a fun and interactive book for all families to enjoy.

As a kid, Christina used to regularly visit the library and fill her backpack with books and is now living her dream as an author. Teachers, librarians, parents, and kids have become fans of this book that sparks conversation and encourages a child’s imagination.
