Introducing the NEWEST On-the-Spot topic

ETHICS

Last Thursday of each month from January thru April 2023

First Session: Thursday, January 26, 2023
11 AM–12 PM Mountain /12–1 PM Central

Ethical dilemmas are situations in which a difficult decision has to be made based on competing values with no clear solution. These dilemmas are an expected part of working in behavioral healthcare, especially for providers practicing in rural communities. Ethics On-the-Spot is a monthly, one-hour opportunity to discuss your dilemmas with a veteran ethics professor, Dr. Cindy Juntunen. We invite you to submit your ethical dilemmas using our submission form or join us during the session to ask your questions live.

On-the-Spot (OtS) is an online opportunity for substance use disorders and recovery support services providers to obtain real time input on a variety of behavioral health topics. OtS is an open, one-hour forum guided by participants' questions with responses provided by Mountain Plains ATTC consultants. The goal of OtS is to serve as another tool to increase knowledge, build skills, and change practice through the adoption of evidence-based practices and promising practices. This event is developed and designed for the Region 8 Mountain Plains ATTC states of Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming.

On-the-Spot is a discussion-based event, not a training or webinar. Continuing education hours are not provided. Participants are welcome to join anytime during the one-hour "hotline" forum and can join via phone, PC, or tablet.
