Have you missed curling over the past couple of years?
Half-Year Memberships are now available.
We'd love to have you back to enjoy the game once again. There's lots of opportunities to curl (see below). Both the Fixed Team Open League (formerly the Men's League) and the Weakenders have openings for spares and additional teams. Plus there's lots of "drop-in" curling times throughout the week.

The cost is $370 (HST included) and that gets you unlimited curling until the ice goes out in early April.

Give the office a call at 613-283-4700 to arrange to re-join (or join if you've never been a member before.
Curling & Squash are back in full swing after the Christmas break

With fresh ice, thanks to our ice maker Paul Harvey and his crew of Gary McTavish, Rick McGrath, Larry Taylor and Gord Walton, all our curlers are back on the ice with renewed enthusiasm to work off those extra pounds added over the holidays.

As a reminder, there are lots of opportunities to curl for members of all levels:

Learn To Curl Heads for a Bonspiel

A team from our Learn To Curl program is off to Carleton Place Saturday to compete in their first Bonspiel against other LTC curlers from other clubs. They are accompanied by their "coach" Dan Bradshaw. Coaches will be allowed on the ice to help out with strategy and to give advice and support.

We'll have the results in the next newsletter. Good Luck and Good Curling!
Development Curling League
Saturdays from Noon to 2 PM
The new Development League will take over the same timeslot as the Learn to Curl program - Saturdays from noon to 2 pm.

This is open to ALL members so if you are looking for some more curling time, come out on Saturdays by 11:45, drop your tag in one of the four position buckets and have some fun.

The emphasis will be on furthering skills learned in the LTC program as well as getting in some actual games.

We need EXPERIENCED MEMBERS as well as our newer members to make this an enjoyable experience. This is a great way to get some experience at Skip or Vice positions too.
Still Looking for members to get
their "Smart Serve"
Several members have expressed their interest in both SmartServe and First Aid/CPR training. We could do with a few more!

The Club is looking for members who can volunteer as bartenders for both our in-house functions as well as our rentals throughout the year.

In order to bartend you must have your SmartServe Certification and the Club is willing to pay the fee for the course.

First Aid, AED, CPR training

We are also looking for members who would like to take First Aid, AED and CPR training. With enough interest we will be able to run courses here at the Club for you to learn/refresh or upgrade your skills.

If you are interested contact Ann McGahey by email using the button below. She will be organizing these trainings very soon.
